6 58 Lotto

The biggest and most prominent game in the portfolio of the Philippine Charity Sweepstake Office (PCSO) is called 6 58 Lotto. As the name suggests, there are 58 numbers that players can choose among. Due to the large pool, the odds of winning are more challenging. To compensate players for the difficulty, however, PCSO has made 6 58 Lotto the game that features the most impressive jackpots.

The game was added to the portfolio of PCSO in 2015. The first drawing occurred on February 8, and the cost of a single ticket was set at 20 pesos. Since the beginning, it has been the game in the Philippines to brag the most impressive minimum guaranteed jackpot of 50 million pesos (0.95 million US dollars).

Drawings occur every week on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. While the odds are difficult to beat 1 in 40,475,358 as far as the jackpot is concerned, giving 6 58 Lotto a try is worth it because of several reasons.

6 58 Lotto Rules

6 58 Lotto is a pretty straightforward game. For a chance at claiming the jackpot, a player will need to choose six numbers from a pool of 58 and match all of them to the one drawn.

Tickets costing 20 pesos can be acquired from licensed retailers throughout the Philippines.

Apart from the standard gameplay option, it’s also possible to choose a system. System entries feature more numbers than the six required to enter a drawing. While such tickets are more expensive (a system of 10 numbers costs 4,200 pesos while a system of 12 comes with a price tag of 18,480 pesos), they increase the odds of winning and they also enable players to claim multiple prizes.

Players need to be aged 18 or older to participate in the games organized by PCSO.

6 58 Lotto Prizes

A minimum guaranteed jackpot of 50 million pesos is there to lure players into giving 6 58 Lotto a try. Since the jackpot rolls over if there is no winner for the respective drawing, it could potentially reach a much larger sum.

The biggest jackpot in the history of the game has fallen on February 16, 2018. By then, the sum had reached almost 332 million pesos (6.28 million US dollars). Two lucky ticket holders got to split the award among themselves.

Other than the jackpot, there are three additional prize tiers. Here’s a breakdown of the prizes that players can expect per each.

Prize Tier Numbers to Match Estimated Prize (₱)
Jackpot 6 At least 5 million
2 5 Up to 280,000
3 4 Up to 3,800
4 3 20

6 58 Lotto is a pari-mutuel game. This means that the prize pool is divided equally among the winners. If there are two or more tickets that have all six numbers for the respective drawing, the jackpot will be divided equally among all of the ticket holders. The same applies to the second and the third prize tiers. Only the fourth one features a fixed amount.

Prizes of up to 5,000 pesos can be claimed at any authorized and licensed PCSO outlet. Prizes in the range from 5,000 to 20,000 pesos can be claimed at PCSO branch offices in the respective jurisdiction. Larger prizes and 6 58 Lotto jackpot can be claimed at the PCSO head office in Mandaluyong City.

Drawings are televised and broadcast live on national TV at 9 p.m. local time.
